Robert Morgan emerged onto the national literary scene with a novel, Gap Creek, which became an Oprah selection and a New York Times bestseller, and now he basking in the recent publication of The Road from Gap Creek. He has published fifteen volumes of poetry, three story collections, a biography of Daniel Boone, a book of history and another literary criticism, as well as five novels. Morgan was given an Academy Award in 2007 by the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
